The key objectives of the Downtown Development Department are to:
Staff and support the Eloy Downtown Advisory Commission.
Oversee and complete a Downtown Redevelopment Plan utilizing local and state resources.
Implement a facade program to improve "first impressions" for visitors and investors.
Create a brand and identity that is welcoming and interesting.
Identify the types of activities that will thrive in Eloy including arts, culturally relevant retail space, special events and other niche businesses.
Maintain and market the current inventory of existing buildings and property.
Market Downtown Eloy as a center of southwest culture and arts.
Tour of Vacant Downtown Buildings
Each Fall (October/November) and Spring (April/May), the City partners with the Eloy Chamber of Commerce to conduct a walking tour of vacant buildings and available properties on Main Street. City staff is available on site to answer any questions and provide background on the properties identified.
