Daniel (Dan) R. Snyder is in his second term having been first elected to the city council in 2016.  Growing up in the Canton, Ohio area, he and his wife, RoseAnn, moved to Eloy in 2010 from the western suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.  

He was raised on a farm and received a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He completed additional courses in accounting and marketing at the University of Akron and has achieved certification as a Registered Professional Engineer.  He retired in 2009 as Director of Engineering for the U.S. Industrial Division of a large international company where his work involved interfacing with many cultures during travel to Europe, South America, and the Far East.  He has experience with mechanical design, strategic planning, marketing, budget preparation and control, personnel management, and problem-solving techniques.  He is a current member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, and a course instructor for the American Bearing Manufacturing Association.

In Eloy, he has served as Vice Mayor, been on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Transit Study Committee, Economic Development Advisory Committee, Arizona League of Cities and Towns Infrastructure Committee, and is currently a Director of the Eloy Chamber of Commerce and Pinal Alliance for Economic Growth.

He is honored to be chosen by his fellow citizens to serve on Council and is dedicated to improving life for residents and helping plan for Eloy’s promising future.
