Daniel (Dan) R. Snyder was elected to city council in 2016. Raised on a farm in N.E. Ohio, he and his wife moved to Eloy from the western suburbs of Philadelphia, PA in 2010.
He received a mechanical engineering degree through the co-op program from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. and completed courses in accounting, marketing and business at the University of Akron and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He has been certified as a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.). His career includes over 40 years in the bearing industry retiring in 2009 as Director of Engineering of the U.S. Division of a large international company. In his career, he has spent time in Europe, South America, and the Far East. His experience includes strategic planning, budget preparation and control, training, personnel management and problem-solving techniques. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers.
In Eloy, he has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Transit Study Committee, Economic Development Advisory Committee, Arizona League of Cities and Towns Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Works Committee and Eloy Chamber of Commerce serving as a Director.
He is honored to be on Council and is dedicated to improving life for Eloy’s residents and helping plan for Eloy’s promising future.
