Passport Application Acceptance Service for new applicants or applicants not eligible for renewal is available in the City of Eloy Clerk's office Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
By Appointment Only.
Completed passport application packets are mailed from our office to the National Passport Center, which approves the application and creates and mails the passport book and/or card to the approved applicant.
Per the U.S. Department of State, USPS mail delays are impacting when passport applications are received for processing. Processing times begin the day your application is received by the U.S. Department of State, not the day it is mailed from the Acceptance Facility.
Current Processing Times
Processing time is 10 to 13 weeks from the day the U.S. Department of State receives the application. Return Mail time varies across the country, affecting the date the applicant receives the passport.
For an additional $60, the processing time is 7 to 9 weeks from the day the U.S. Department of State receives the application. Return Mail time varies across the country, which may affect the date the applicant receives the passport.
Processing times begin the day the application is received at a passport agency or center, not on the day the customer applied for a passport at an acceptance facility. The U.S. Department of State no longer uses door-to-door timeframes to calculate our estimated routine and expedited service times. Mail times may vary across the country.
The U.S. Department of State recommends applying for a passport 4 to 6 months before planned travel.

One passport picture is necessary. A few of the companies that do passport photos are Walgreens, Print and Pack, Kinko's, CVS Pharmacy, and Target.
PLEASE NOTE: The City of Eloy DOES NOT take passport photos. You must bring passport photo with you to your appointment.
Proof of Citizenship
A certified copy of the applicant's birth certificate, a naturalization certificate, or a previous passport are acceptable forms of citizenship and originals will be sent with the passport application for processing and returned to the applicant.
