Harvey Krauss was appointed Eloy City Manager in April 2014 after serving as Interim City Manager since December 2013. Prior to being City Manager, Harvey served as Community Development Director for the City of Eloy.
Harvey relocated to Arizona from Wyoming in June 1990, and was employed by the City of Goodyear for over 20 years. During most of his tenure in Goodyear, Harvey served as Community Development Director and was responsible for managing the City’s development processes and procedures, including long-range and current planning, annexations, subdivision development, architectural reviews, and permitting.
Prior to his employment with Goodyear, Harvey was Assistant City Administrator in Gillette, Wyoming from 1984 to 1990. He has also held planning positions in Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Harvey has a Masters Degree in Geography from Arizona State University, a Masters in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelors Degree in Geography and Urban Planning from East Carolina University. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) since 1983, and has been a full member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) since 1991.
Harvey is a member of the International City/County Manager's Association (ICMA), American Planning Association Arizona Chapter/American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Eloy Lions Club and Eloy Rotary Club.
